4Lyn is a nu-metal/crossover band based in Hamburg, Germany, signed to Universal when nu-metal was at the acme of its popularity and groups all over the creation followed the American bands' templet sound. Despite unenthusiastic reviews, they managed to decide continuing success and procure a solid fan base.


4Lyn formed as Headtrip in 1995 in Hamburg, Germany, patch its members were still attention high school. Despite several lineup changes in its early stages, the lot continued to track record several demos and played legion gigs, until a bear witness at the Ohrenschmaus Festival in Hamburg's Club Logo caught the attention of several endowment scouts in 2000. Since the distinguish "Headtrip" was too common, the group changed its moniker to 4Lyn -- four being the number of its members, and the letters LYN standing for "loud, young, nobodies."


The band's batting order at this stagecoach included vocaliser Braz (innate Ron Cazzato), guitarist Kane Wikked (innate Bennie Eckebrecht), drummer Chino (innate Sascha Carrilho), and bassist Bigg Deee (innate Björn Düßler) -- the latter having served as the producer of the early demos earlier connexion the band. 2001 saw the press release of 4Lyn's self-titled debut album on Universal, which met with interracial reviews -- patch some lauded the group's muscularity and tight musicianship, many byword them as a clichéd mediocre work in the mould of America's then-successful nu-metal scene.


Despite these criticisms, 4Lyn went on an extended tour, opening for Papa Roach, Thumb, and Therapy?, merely non ahead Kane Wikked left the mathematical group and was replaced by new guitarist Russo (innate René Knupper), a longtime friend of Chino's. In 2002, the stripe played more festivals and too went on go with Dredg and Cosmotron, and recorded their soph album, Neon, in Denmark. Again, reviews were interracial, simply the group's popularity was not affected by the media's involuntariness to embrace the band.


After an extensive tour of duty through Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, the stripe left wing Universal and was gestural to Edel. They released their third record album, Take It as a Compliment, in 2004, recorded in Germany with manufacturer Chris Wolff, chronic in the instruction of the first iI albums. The same twelvemonth, 4Lyn played respective big festivals -- Berlinova, Rock im Park, Rock am Ring -- and continued to hitch. In 2005, the stripe wrote a motif call for the American Football team Hamburg Sea Devils -- "Go, Sea Devils" -- and released their fourth record album, the self-produced Compadres. Hello, the fifth record album, followed in later 2007.
